Why 4 Billion People Are Going to Die-Thursday, April 2 at 7:00 pm UK
This event introduces the core ideas behind the 4 Billion Dead project and the science behind the risk it highlights. Drawing on research such as the Planetary Solvency Report, we’ll explore what current climate trajectories could mean for humanity, why the risks are widely underestimated, and why making them visible now matters. The session is open to anyone who wants to understand the argument and discuss what can be done next.

According to the Planetary Solvency Report by the Institute of Actuaries, 4 Billion deaths is now a distinct possibility this century due to climate breakdown. There are no words to describe this. So we will not try.
On the 18th April, 4 Billion Dead will be on the streets of London, walking in slow, silent procession. We will bear witness to this injustice. That is it.
Please bring along a placard with the words ‘4 Billion Dead’ written on it. What shape the placard is, and what it represents is up to you. This is an action to connect us with our inner morality and spread the word of this unspeakable truth. You may want to attach your placard to a personal artefact. It may be a symbol of hope, of courage, of spirituality, of unity between people. That choice is personal and is yours to make – 4 Billion Dead is not connected to any particular religious or spiritual group. We are simply human. We care. We will bear witness to this truth.

But what is 4 Billion Dead actually doing? How is it going to flood the zone with the truth?
Join on Thursday 2nd April at 7pm as key players from within the 4BD project spell out exactly what we aim to achieve, how we are going about it and how every person can be part of this critical work.
